Word table border problems after pdf'ing
Colors faded, washed out in PDF display
When I export a PDF from InDesign CS3 to Acrobat 8, the PDF opens with a dull "wash" over the entire pages.
When I scroll or move thru the document in Acrobat, I briefly see the pages properly (vivid color, rich blacks) for a split-second, then this grayish "wash" appears over everything. This even happens in the Print preview dialog.
It seems to print OK, but executives will be opening & viewing this file and not always printing. I'm getting comments like "can you fix the color?"
My color settings are synchronized thru Bridge.
Any insight is much appreciated!!
Indesign CS5 -> Interactive Acrobat PDF -- same colors differ from page to page
Hello,
We're producing a screen-view interactive PDF that contains various graphics on different pages. The piece has a solid background and interactive buttons. InDesign is set to have a blend space of RGB. Upon viewing the exported interactive PDF, it's obvious that Acrobat is choosing to render different pages with slightly different blending such that the constant solid background color (among other elements) change apparent color when flipping through the document. Is there any way to force the screen rendering to be consistent? I've tried flattening, but that's purposed for printing and thus ruins all the interactivity.
thanks!

Acrobat Pro V8.1.2 "Invalid Page Range" Error - Rotate Pages
I have Adobe Acrobat Professional version 8.1.2. For the last couple of weeks every time I try to rotate a page in any direction I get the following error:
"Invalid Page Range" (OK)
I have tried every combination of options for amount of rotation and page range (all, selected, specify). No matter what I do I get the same message. I have tried this on several different documents both encrypted and unencrypted.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Merge to PDF
Hi All
We have a word 2007 document mail merged template which we want to create a number of PDF documents from. We have manged to use the "Merge to PDF" option to create the requird PDF files but for some reason a number of embedded fonts are not being embedded.
If we choose the option to save to pdf from the Word toolbar this works fine apart from the fact we now have one massive PDF document rather than individual files as required.
Within the Adobe Distiller printer driver options we are choosing the following standard for the output file as this is a requirement for our local printers to be able to print the produced PDF files correctly. We cannot understand what in different in the output process in Adobe to be creating this problem.
Any help or ideas to why this happening would be appreciated
New to PDF Portfolios - Need to Link between PDF, Word & Excel Docs
Hello All,
Thanks in advance for your help. I'm new to the Adobe X Pro & making portfolios. I have figured out how to create a portfolio. My portfolio has a main pdf document and several folders with pdf, word & excel files in them. What I’m trying to do is link from my main document (pdf file) to the other files (word, excel & pdf) that I’ve added to the portfolio. I’ve tried linking to a pdf file and a thumbnail of the word doc (because I did find that I can’t link to the actual word or excel doc). When I create & test the link (for both the pdf file & the thumbnail of the word doc) it is there; I can click the link I created and it will go to the word doc. If I close the portfolio & reopen it the link to the pdf file is there, but the link to the word doc isn’t there anymore. That link now goes to the main pdf file and not the word thumbnail or even the folder where the word doc is saved. Any ideas on what to do? Thanks.
Acrobat read-only error message
I´m having trouble with read-only error message when I try to save my pdf files to a network server. Do you know how to fix this or if this is a problem that might be solved in next update patch?
Docx to PDF
Dear users,
From wthin Acrobat X Pro, how do I convert a DOCX file to PDF. I've tried using "create PDF" but in the drop down options, there is no DOCX, using all supported formats does not show DOCX files.
Disable SendNow Option
Hi,
I am using Acrobat X Standard on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.
Is there a way to disable the SendNow option? After creating a PDF, I click on the envelope icon and it takes 3-4 seconds for the Send Files bar to open. I then choose the Attach to Email radio button and it takes 5-6 seconds before the Outlook 2007 new message window appears (Outlook 2007 was already running).
Since I never use the SendNow, I'd like to return to the old functionality of clicking on the envelope icon and getting a near-immediate response of an Outlook new message window appearing.
Thanks!
changing default for insert file types
Hi All,
Trying to add some pages to a existing file. The default for me on inserting files is a PDF file search. However, my files are JPEGS. And I have alot of files to insert and i'm getting tired of resetting the search parameters everytime. Any way of changing the default search when inserting a file under the tools? ie changing the setting to look for "all files" instead of PDFs?
Thanks

Acrobat X Pro: Really slow opening files
Since the last upgrade (I got it last week a couple of days after I installed the program), it takes forever sometimes to open the simplest files. Up to 10 seconds to open a one-page file. More if the file is larger. This is really annoying, as I am opening files all the time. It doesn't help if I close the program after each file is printed, or leave it open and just closing the file. Anybody else experiencing this who knows what's happening?
Version 10.1.0.534
Acrobat x Pro
Hi and all help appreciated.
I am trying to combine two pdf's of roughly 3500kb into a single pdf for a printer but when i combine them with Adobe Acrobat X Pro the final size is 279mb and the printer says there are problems with text layers. Has anyone else had this problem? At the moment a friend is combining the same files and without a problem.
Cheers
Toby
Adobe Acrobat X - an internal error has occured
I'm having a very difficult time solving a Acrobat X Pro problem that started occuring on Dec 30., hope some one can help!
I'm running Windows 7, 64bit OS with all the recent updates to the OS. Acrobat X is installed with 10.1.1 installed (that latest version that the installer grabs).
I can't launch the Acrobat application OR open any .PDF file - I get an error dialog that says:
Followed by a Fatal Error dialog.
I can't open the application at all! I've tried restoring the system (to October!), didn't work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat X - that didn't work.
I can't find a KB article that discusses manual uninstallation, so I have to guess that the acrobat uninstaller is doing it's thing.
Any ideas? All other allplications seem to be working normally, this is very strange for sure.
Thanks all!

"Insufficient data for an image" when opening file
I am the administrator of a corporate environment.
We have 25 users with Acrobat Standard 9 on Windows XP.
ONE user is coming to me about an error "Insufficient data for an image" while trying to open some PDF files.
There is no rhyme or reason to which files cause this error and it only effects her.
I've looked online and seen alot of people complaining about this errror message, but no one with a solution.
Can anyone assist?
Thanks
John
After Inserting PDF into Excel 2007 spreadsheet, it will only open once.
I know there are other discussions about this but everyone else was having trouble with Reader. I am having the same trouble in Acrobat 9 where I get the message "Cannot open the source application for this object" after it's inserted and opened once. We do not have version of Reader installed on any computer. Has there been anyone seeing this happen in Acrobat 9, NOT Reader?
Interruption of pdf link display
My Outlook works fine. My Chrome works fine, and is my default browser. My Acrobat X works fine. Outlook pdf attachments open immediately in Acrobat. Emailed HTML links open immediately in Chrome.
HOWEVER, whenever I receive a pdf link in an email, a new Chrome pane opens, and this error message appears at the bottom of the screen:
This type of file can harm your computer. Do you want to keep XYZ.PDF anyway? With Keep and Discard buttons
I click Keep, and it displays. How do I get rid of this annoying error message? I receive scores of pdf links every day.
Acrobat Discussion in My Adobe?
Hi -
Not sure this is the right place to post this. If not, please move.
I have posted a question in this forum about Inserting from a scanner with Acrobat X.
I would like to easily find this discussion when I return to Adobe.com.
Is there a way for forum discussions to appear in My Adobe?
How to insert a preview photo on each PDF file when creating a portfolio?
I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro 10. I would like to create a portfolio containing 4 3D-PDF files (here in this sample presending only 2). The problem is that in the portfolio it tries to preview the PDF, but it can't since it's a 3D model, so it appears like this:
Is it possible to add a preview photo in the portfolio to each "slide" instead of adding another first page containg a photo to each PDF file? I would like that each PDF file would contain only the 3D model.
Thank you
Unable to Embed Acrobat into Word 64-bit
My setup is: Windows 7 64-bit, Word 2010 64-bit, Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro v9.4.7.
When I attempt to insert a pdf file into Word, I receive the following message:
The program used to create this object is AcroExch. That program is either not installed on your computer or it is not responding. To edit this object, install AcroExch or ensure that any dialog boxes in AcroExch are closed.
I have researched this issue a great deal.
Previously, I found a posting which specified some registry keys to delete. I followed these directions and it worked. But, after installing some updates, the issue is back and I am unable to find the post specifying the registry keys to remove.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Brandon
Embedded fonts not displaying Correctly
I have exported a 100+ page document from InDesign CS5.5 All fonts not in the system fonts are displaying as Minion Pro.
The fonts are listed as embedded (subset) and the fonts allow for embedding.

I have toggled Use Local Fonts without change.
